1. Not eating enough
This is one of the biggest committed by people trying to lose weight. Skipping either the breakfast or lunch is becoming a trend among these people. Skipping a meal increases the craving for food and the person ends up eating double than his normal appetite resulting in tremendous weight gain.
2. Consumption of packaged food and drinks
Processed and packaged food and drink contains high amount of calories and intake of these products lead to weight gain. Undoubtedly these foods are tasty and easy to cook and most of them require no cooking, but they are extremely unhealthy. Replacing them with natural healthy fruits and vegetable is the second biggest mistake made by people trying to lose weight effectively.
3. Standing on the weighing scale too often
Believe it or not, this is the third common mistake. Checking weight on the daily basis is sheer stupidity. It only makes the person panic when he/she do not see the weighing scale move an inch. And, when someone sees no result they tend to forget their weight loss dream.
4. Unrealistic expectations
Weight loss needs commitment and the results are seen only after a month or two. Most people especially women dream of losing 30 pounds in a week. Well! This is an unrealistic dream and expecting it to come true is another big mistake. These dreams make a person anxious and they end up eating more.
5. No physical activity
How to lose weight is a question which bothers many people. Simply sitting on the bed and eating food prescribed by a dietician is not going to lead to effective weight loss. Weight loss is all about 60% exercising and 40% eating healthy food. Exercising or playing sports for at least 40-45 minutes 5 days a week can only help lose weight effectively.
6. Tomorrow never comes
People wait for ‘tomorrow’ to come, to begin the weight loss journey. And, as expected their ‘tomorrow never comes’. Start the journey the time it strikes the mind else the journey will never start.
Follow a routine and see yourself slimmer within a month or two and don’t get lured by pills and tablets claiming to reduce weight within a week.
